  • WVAC sincerely appreciates your local business by purchasing medications directly from our clinic. Please allow our veterinary team up to 1-2 business days to review your pet's medical record before filling a prescription. The medical records review ensures your pet is up to date on any recommended exams and/or tests, and confirms your pet is receiving the correct medication. Please plan accordingly when your pet is getting low on medications.

    In stock medication refills:
    Within two business days of a refill request, a veterinary team member will text or call you when the medication is ready for pick up. We make every effort to fill medications in a timely manner and will fill medication in the order requested.
    **Please do not walk-in asking if the medication is ready if you have not received a phone call or text. **

    Special order medications:
    Special order medication orders are placed once weekly at 5:00 pm on Thursday's. Therefore, refill requests made after 5:00 pm on Thursday, will be ordered the following Thursday. Some special orders, including prescription diets, may take up to one week to receive, after the order is placed. Please plan accordingly and place special order medication refills at least one week before needed to ensure you do not run out of medication. Backordered products may increase the time to fill certain orders.

    Online pharmacies:
    The only online pharmacies we communicate with are Pro Plan Vet Direct, Hills to Home and VetSource. The links to these pharmacy options can be found on the upper left corner of our website homepage (westvillagesvet.com). We make every effort to price our prescription products competitively, and often for less after rebates and specials, than many online pharmacies. Compounding pharmacies we communicate directly with are: Taylor's, Wedgewood and Stokes.

    If requested, a written prescription may be provided directly to you. You may request to pick it up directly from the clinic or ask to have it mailed to your home address. We do not charge a fee for writing prescriptions for our patients. If you would like the written prescription mailed to your home address, there is a $5 shipping & handling fee.

    If you choose to use an internet or outside pharmacy to obtain your pet's medications, you should mail the original written prescription to the pharmacy. We do not respond to fax, email or telephone calls requesting prescription authorizations from any online or outside pharmacies not listed above.
